Like making things with your hands? In this intensive we’ll be using traditional Japanese lantern and kite materials to create glowing light sculptures, or jewelry, giant insects, birds, fish or abstract forms. Make what you will in an independent art studio environment with guided support to cultivate your vision. During the week we’ll also meet professional artists: an enamel sculptor and a printmaker in their studios. We’ll visit a successful art gallery to look behind the scenes at their artist selection and sales process. Some of our finished works will be shown at SHINE, a First Friday show coordinated by Mountainstar Family Relief Nursery. Taught by Local Artist and Educator Sean Purdy.
Actual Cost Per Student: $70 Requested Parent Contribution: $50
